Saloni and Vanburn get married and then once again in Bombay.

What is better than Saloni and Vanburn's wedding? Well, two Saloni and Vanburn weddings!!

Saloni and I barely spoke in the months leading up to the wedding. Whatever brief whatsapp conversations we had didn't really tell me much about her ( honestly, I thought she was not very happy with me :/ ) . The days immediately leading up to the wedding were rather physically draining for me as I was shooting big fat weddings for big teams ( boring. ) and I was really hoping things would change for me.

Sandhya and Sam's Wedding at Rina's Venue

Disclaimer : Personal Rant mode ON.

2017 didn’t particularly begin very well for me. While everyone was celebrating the turn of the year I was just half way into a gruelling wedding season. Overloaded with shoots, edit backlogs, difficult clients and miscellaneous worries. In fact I was so exhausted, for the first time ever, I voluntarily asked a friend to assist me with the next wedding shoot as I was sure I would be unable to handle it all by myself.

Romika and Yash's Destination Getaway wedding in Havelock, Andaman Islands.

What is better than one wedding in Andaman? Well, obviously two. :) But what is better than that? Aditi and Cameron's Marathi-English Wedding at the Taj Mahal Palace, Bombay

This wedding happened quite a while ago. So, whatever I remember might be slightly made up.

Aditi wanted to meet me a day prior to the wedding and she conveniently made me wait for at least 2 hours?!!  It did not please me, but I had to put on a patient demeanour .  This of course delayed my dinner with Anushree ( who was to shoot this wedding with me ).  Also, I happened to see a gruesome accident en-route said dinner with Anushree.  Clearly, it wasn't the finest start to a wedding.

But, much of that was about to change.

Adithi and Varun's Backyard Forest Wedding in Goa

Far too often we are advised to let go of things. Maybe it is not always a great idea. Adithi and Varun's story spans a decade. A decade of good and bad times and plenty of roadblocks. They decided to hold on to each other and people around them. Now, because they chose not to let go they managed to pull off a wedding where literally every "vendor" was a friend. Every aspect (the venue host, the decorators, the makeup artist, the videographers and the photographer  ) of this happy backyard forest Goa wedding was created by friends and family. I thoroughly enjoyed documenting their 2 days of happiness, I hope you enjoy the pictures as much :)
