2017 didn’t particularly begin very well for me. While everyone was celebrating the turn of the year I was just half way into a gruelling wedding season. Overloaded with shoots, edit backlogs, difficult clients and miscellaneous worries. In fact I was so exhausted, for the first time ever, I voluntarily asked a friend to assist me with the next wedding shoot as I was sure I would be unable to handle it all by myself.Read More
What is better than one wedding in Andaman? Well, obviously two. :) But what is better than that? Getting to meet Hiren and Simran ( couple from the first) on the wedding day of the second couple :) and also finding the most loveable bunch of people in the wedding entourage, who have gone from absolute bunch of strangers from Delhi to people I can incessantly torture!Read More
Far too often we are advised to let go of things. Maybe it is not always a great idea. Adithi and Varun's story spans a decade. A decade of good and bad times and plenty of roadblocks. They decided to hold on to each other and people around them. Now, because they chose not to let go they managed to pull off a wedding where literally every "vendor" was a friend. Every aspect (the venue host, the decorators, the makeup artist, the videographers and the photographer ) of this happy backyard forest Goa wedding was created by friends and family. I thoroughly enjoyed documenting their 2 days of happiness, I hope you enjoy the pictures as much :)Read More
A little while ago I had the opportunity to photograph my first proper international wedding. A Chinese wedding in Singapore. Thanks to Air India's characteristic delays I had hardly anytime to get to know Alina and PK before jumping into their outdoor portraiture session. The two didn't need any time to transform into their goofy selves and that made the session a lot of fun.Read More
It was back in early 2013 when I was testing my yet to be published website, I got an enquiry from a surprise visitor, Rhea. To this day, I have absolutely no idea how she found her way to my website. She had nonchalantly mentioned her wedding was to happen in Delhi and partly in Dubai. Besides being incredibly happy to have roped my first international assignment, I didn't really think of it much then. But what was to come simply blew my mind away.Couple of months prior to the wedding I was in Bhutan and I received a message from Joseph Radhik saying we were shooting this very same wedding together, it hit me then that this was going to be big !Read More
April 19, 2013 : It was supposed to be a happy day, a day I was making big plans for most of last year. Instead I was having a rather dull day, sprawled on my bed in Kochi, ruminating how life happens when you're busy making other plans, and then it happened -- a phone call for a wedding enquiry. And not just any ordinary wedding. When the person on the other end mentioned the wedding was to happen in Andaman, I could hardly contain myself.Read More
